How about adding an edge-timeout/delay to the CompAction/CompOption? So that if I touch the edge/corner, compiz starts a timeout which then executes the action after a certain delay (ms) instead of executing the action directly. It could be set to 0 by default so it doesn't affect existing actions and configurations.

It would allow defining a button-action and a different "touch"-action for the same edge/corner if the timeout is set to a sane value (e.g. 500-1000ms delay before raising the "touch"-action). I know this is easily possible on a per-plugin-level but it would be much more elegant (and much less overhead) to have it inside the action/option itself.

that's an excellent idea, I wonder if windows can be piled in the switch expose mode, like a combination of buttons at certain delay pulls out an effect like mac slow's lowfat, you know something "clickable" over windows in the expose view that orders them or dissorders (in an elegant way) depending of the delay.

More or less the group plugin in a simple approach, but with astounding effects.

Say, i.e after a certain delay+ key , the windows gets auto-selected, and with other "simple-click", i.e, middle click up/down+delay that group of windows gets dissorder or order ..in addition the order/dissorder effect, has spring k, and resistance.

Just an idea..
LOL I guess, that must be too complicated...
