View Full Version : Option for Scale plugin to effectively scale windows

Hi everybody, as it is my first post here I'd wish to say Compiz(fusion) is a great piece of software.

I posted here because of a feature I couldn't find.

In my opinion the Scale plugin should scale each window at the same ratio, so that smaller windows remain smaller also when scaled. Currently e.g. a terminal or pidgin/emesene/... are in normal mode way smaller than Firefox maximized, but when scaled they get as large as firefox or even higher (because they are narrower).

I think that if Scale plugin behaved as I wrote it would really help recognising windows, and it would also be more coherent.
IMHO this should be the default behaviour, but if not at least an option would be good.

What's your opinion about?

OasisGames is (or at least was) going to do some work on scale, bringing back an old scale mode from beryl, which may cover this request. See:
