Currently I am figuring out how I can manipulate the cube from an external python program. Since I am still looking in to the possibilities I found the following problem with your website (not major, but still). Probably something like a mod_rewrite error on the forum.go-compiz.org domain (I discovered it since Google's hits are still mainly referring to this one):
http://forum.go-compiz.org/viewtopic.php?p=4929#4929
should forward to:
http://forum.compiz.org/viewtopic.php?p=4929#4929

but currently it forwards to:
http://forum.compiz.orgviewtopic.php/?p=4929#4929

(a misplacement of the /)

Maybe someone can repair this? It is not really convenient to repair this by hand when you're trying to figure out how things work ;)

(ps: If this is not the right place to report this, my apologies, I am new to this forum
(ps2: since i am posting anyhow... does anybody know whether it is possible to control the rotation of the cube 'manually' by setting e.g. the angle of the rotation? through e.g. dbus? so that you can e.g. manipulate it as one can using 'initiate rotation' with the mouse (<Alt><Control>Button1). I am still looking in to it... but so far had no success (do not really know yet which command to send using dbus... trying to learn it from the sourcecode now... but I'm not that C-literate)

Hi murb! Thanks for noting that problem - we are already aware of it and the man in charge should fix it soon. We recently switched to compiz.org as main domain and the url-rewriting seems to be wrong.

:)

euhmm.. it still hasn't been fixed... you are aware of this? (my apologies for being a bit pushy)
