hi,
i really dont know where to ask this, so im asking everywhere, since its about OpenGL, i hope you guys might know..
can you please tell me,
are there any other OpenGL drivers, but Scitech, for Linux to make something like this?
myOS - Linux based OpenGL development system without X
Minimalistic GNU/Linux system, stripped down of everything, but core necessary files to compile and run OpenGL/C code. It has simplified directory structure and cleaned up internal cross referencing. Programs compiled in myOS will run on any Linux with or without X.

one of my goals would be to produce (for start) really tiny and simple "window manager", well, much like Compiz( in appearance), which would be rather simple thing to do if you can build it with OpenGL from the ground (i believe)
now, these scitech drivers i use are great considering all the stuff that is going(not going) on with Linux drivers, but the most important part, for COOL effects, is not (fully) HW accelerated, like draw to textures, blending... but, still 3D cube desktop and all the -window distortion- effects can be done as it is
is there anything else like these SciTech drivers, but fully hw accelerated?
or is there any way to modify existing source or binary drivers to avoid need for X for OpenGL?
anyone else interested in producing mini-Compiz-like "manage my windows" thingy on a miniature OpenGL/Linux based system?
btw, i've tried:
* fbdev/DRI drivers from the mesa3d project
* directFB
* GGI/libGGI
..for OpenGL without X,
but with no luck, couldnt compile or performace were worse than scitech..
thanks,
zelko
