Hi. I'm very new to this so forgive me if my terminology is not quite right!
I have Compiz installed in Fedora 8 in a gnome environment. It works great but when I first log in it's not running. I have to go to SYSTEM -> PREFERENCES -> LOOK AND FEEL -> DESKTOP EFFECTS where I find the effects are enabled. I then have to disable and re-enable them and close the desktop effects window before Compiz works. Prior to doing this I cannot move any open windows at all and the menu bars of those windows do not appear.
How do I get Compiz to work by default and avoid having to go through this process every time I log in?
