To Dennis Kasprzyk. Commit ba163eab7d92989fb7fc0adbfdfdde45df7757ee (Added vertexStride window variable.) Wed, 12 Mar 2008 16:21:04 +0000 (17:21 +0100) and after produces desktop lockups that can only be recovered from by using Sys Rq key commands on a Geforce 6150 using the NVIDIA-Linux-x86-100.14.19 driver.
Seemingly random lockups can occur when opening a Run Command window when first starting up KDE or when closing a java application window.
Lockups do not occur on commit c6e73a3b90fc7d0fdfc02f7eef29124850d454fd (Set and use w->texCoordSize;) and before on the compiz git tree and commit 2a9e91a3a7f34f469ff31c1fdd4757766b8abfc5 (Remove superflous variable.) and before on the plugins-main git tree.
Shall I assume that the compiz team are making big additions and already know about the lockups and therefore users should hold off using the git sources for a while?
