Planet Compiz?

Considering that beryl uses planetarium for its developer blogs as a method of communication to the users, I think that this should be ported over in the merge.

I think its important for the Devs to be able to talk to the users directely so that the users know whats going on.

I don't think there is any reason you cant just keep them as they are. It would save a lot of effort.

I think that blogs are a nice feature for those that want to use them. They should probably stay where they are until we can integrate them into the new site.

Isnt it just a case of filling in the correct form somewhere and then send the url to RYX or amgeex for linking?

If there are really people who want to write something on that blog we could easily integrate a wordpress-blog as planet compiz. Wordpress is quite flexible and very nice to theme and extend. It would need some tweaking, but I think we could nicely re-use the tab-code from the wiki-skin.

But it has to use the compiz-design and fit into the tabbed layout ... and I have no time to create a WP-theme for it within the next week ... (but whoever has time should feel free to create a WP-theme)

This sounds like the best plan all round. If we outsource as much as possible it means we do not have to worry about the server being maintained.

jeez the layout is too complicated, I prefer dotclear rather than WP, it's more gnu'ish

the idea is to make some auto-installers for dotclear at least, and if I can as well for WP, meanwhile if anyone wants to make some recomendation suggestion, comment etc....I ll be glad, lol,
