Hi freedreamer, what distribution do you use? I don't have an ati-card, but can't you run aiglx with the binary driver from ati? If not, maybe this tutorial (http://forum.beryl-project.org/topic-6348-howto-beryl-gnome-suse10-from-fresh-install) for beryl helps you. The installation of grfx and XGL should be the same.

i use edgy 6.10. I download compiz 0.32 and compiled . everything ok but when i start it i have this error

compiz: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing
compiz: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz: No manageable screens found on display :1

any idea?

Sorry to say, but that is a still unanswered problem - it looks like it is ati-driver related. see here ... (http://www.compiz.biz/viewtopic.php?t=92)

a simple question:
BUT why with beryl everything is ok (i'm using it with XGL) and with compiz (also with 0.3.4) same problem

why????? :((

compiz: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing
compiz: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz: No manageable screens found on display :1
