Do you use compiz on your daily computing needs?

Hey there,
I've just installed compiz, and I was wondering if you guys use it on a daily basis or if you find it too unstable to use, and just run it when you want to show off your desktop?
My experience hasn't been the greatest. Although I enjoy the nice effects, the fact that my window borders disappear from time to time (and I have to run emerald --replace) is kind of anoying.
What about you guys?

I use it pretty much constantly, but I don't use emerald because it's known to be unstable.

I use it all the time, though I have lost my window borders a couple times. That never happened when I used gtk-window-decorator, but I still like Emerald because it's prettier. I plan to start using its replacement as soon as possible (to my knowledge it hasn't even been started).

I keep a launcher for Emerald handy in my panel at all times because I don't trust a bash loop script. It really only ever crashes when using the window switcher (can someone PLEASE switch that over to its own rendering instead of relying on the window decorator to draw it? It would make SO much more sense)

I couldn't live without Scale, always enjoy using my own 3d stacking, the cube still has a bit of actual use to it, mag and zoom are great for... well, zooming. Especially in Firefox. I could go on...

Yes, compiz is awesome, just the expo function is worth everything, but I find it to be unstable sometimes, and I was just wondering if it was something I was doing wrong.

Hey guys,
I use it most of the time. I also have the metacity compositor installed as well and sometimes just use that.
There are days i don't use compiz fusion because I get tired of all the fancy stuff :) then of course after a while , when I keep trying to rotate the cube, or shift-switch the windows, or make it snow, then I get out of metacity real fast !!! :)

I use compiz fusion 24/7 along with screenlets,but dont use emerald.

yes i use it all the time, ive found that things like the ring switcher and the shift switcher are very handy when im studying my web design courses, quick switching from window to window makes life easier i find,
plus it looks cool :-)

I use it all the time as well. Only been using Ubuntu for about 3-4 months and not yet sick of the 3D effects.
