hello,
by default, in the move window plugin, the configuration for moving a window is "<Alt>Button1".
when I set it to "Button6" or "<Alt>Button6" (or other button) it's alway return on "Button1" or "<Alt>Button1".
what can I do ?
thank

When using the gconf backend with integration enabled, it is only possible to change the modifier for that setting (as well as the window menu and initiate resize settings). If you want to set it to something other than Button1, you just go to Preferences in ccsm and disable Desktop Integration.

Thank you! This was driving me crazy, having the Metacity move/resize configuration silently override my own.
Providing a consistent interface is a good idea, but I just can't stand using alt-middle to resize - It just makes more sense to me to use alt-left for dragging, alt-right for resizing (I mean, how often do you open the window menu this way?). I know it's probably set in stone in some standards guide somewhere, just a pet peeve of mine.
Anyway, how about some tooltips or status messages to let the user of CCSM know what's going on? I think that could help enormously.
Thanks! I love Compiz Fusion. Couldn't do without it.
