Hi all, well we all know how compiz fusion creates screen bindings as shortcuts for its many cool features. I'd like to know how to disable them as possible as I'm constantly activating them by accident.

I know for some that are disabled by default, you can just keep them at disabled and I'd be happy but the one I'm thinking of specifically is Expo. It's a great feature except I hate it when I activate it accidentally by going to the bottom, top, left, right, etc. of my screen and for some reason that always tends to happen to me. I'd much rather use the keyboard only except for Expo there is no option to disable screen binding and just use the keyboard. I've searched and searched the internet and came up with nothing. Is this even possible?

Appreciate any help you can give.

Dave

You should be able to disable edge/corner bindings the same way you disable any other binding. If you're using a newer version of Compiz, find the setting at ccsm->Expo->Bindings->Expo edge and un-highlight every corner in the diagram (so they're all red).

For older versions of Compiz, a similar setting can be found at ccsm->Expo->Actions->Expo. Double-click on the word "Expo" in the list, then uncheck all the boxes representing corners or edges.

There's no way to globally disable all corner/edge bindings, though, so you'll have to disable them one at a time as you come across them.

I was doing the same as you and found that if you open the Compiz fusion settings manager and then go:

Advanced Search (bottom left) => Actions tab

Then you can leaf through all the actions and turn of the ones you don't want. The ones that are highlighted in bold are the active ones.
