Ive just finished the install of Ubuntu 7.10
So i instantly rush to configure Compiz.
I adjust the settings to what i see fit. Restart for good practice and...
THe settings seem to have 'reverted' in 80% of plugins to the original settings.
I cannot adjust them ie turn them off either?
Would it be beneficial to update my version of compiz?
by the way i have the Compiz fusion version that cam with Ubuntu 7.10

Thanks

Hey Sugz,
If you havent already, sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager.
THen open that with ccsm in terminal or under system/preferences.
Then go to ccsm preferences located just above the close button and then the Plugin list tab.
Make sure "Automatic plugin sorting" is check marked. THen open the Profile & Backend tab and try using the Flat-file backend. By doing this it will change your settings and you will have to redo them.
Let me know if either of these settings has improved your ability to change settings.
