Compiz is not working on Geforce 2 MX. I have a Athlon 1.7 Gz and a ASUS
A7N266VM with a integrated Geforce 2 MX card. I tried on Ubuntu, Sabayon,
PCLinuxOS.

On Ubuntu its just freezes the computer and then after reboot it wont start X
Server. I had to reinstall ubuntu for that.

On Sabayon it says No Accelaration when I start the live cd.

:(

This is likely not a bug, so I'm changing it to "unsolved". The geforce2 is the first generation of nvidia cards supported by compiz, but I do believe that some specific models don't have the necessary hardware features to support compiz.

Assuming your card is capable of running compiz, we'd need to see the output of 'compiz --replace ccp &' to tell you why compiz is refusing to work. We'd also need to know what version of the nvidia drivers you have installed and what specific model of card you have (the MX 100/200 or 400?).
