Ok so I used to have compiz fusion working just fine, but when I upgraded to gutsy, fusion stopped supporting my graphics card. Well that was a few months ago, and recently I got a new graphics card, and reinstalled compiz fusion. most of my plugins are working, but I am having a few problems.

My graphics card is a nvidia quadro fx 1400, Im using the latest version of compiz fusion with emerald as my windows decorator, and my o.s. is ubuntu 7.10

The problems I'm having are as follows:

1. For some reason instead of a cube I have a single plane, but the bottom right hand corner of my screen shows four boxes as if I had the four sided cube that I'm supposed to have.

2. my windows will not move, or resize.

3. I'm missing a couple plugins, namely, 3d windows, and snow. I might be missing more but, I don't remember all the plugins that I used to have.

other than everything I named, all my other plugins seemed to be working just fine. Any help that can be given on these matters will be greatly appreciated.

In ccsm --> General Options --> Desktop Size, make sure the horizontal virtual size is set to 4, the vertical virtual size is set to 1, and the number of Desktops is 1. Also make sure the Desktop Cube and Rotate Cube plugins are enbaled in ccsm.

2. my windows will not move, or resize.

Make sure those two plugins are enabled. If they are enabled, but still not working, post the output of 'ps ax | grep compiz'.

3. I'm missing a couple plugins, namely, 3d windows, and snow. I might be missing more but, I don't remember all the plugins that I used to have.
