if you want to chat with us CS/CE guys get on IRC
http://www.irchelp.org/
gaim or pigin chat client can do irc and irssi is supposed to be a good command line client.
after logging in you need to setup your irc nick like this /nick yournickname
then join a channel like this /j #compiz or /j #vectorlinux or any of thousands of channels find a channel that suites your interest and be polite

with pidgin you can be connected to more than one account at once.
so, with the same program, you can be connected to msn and irc at the same time.
It'd just be like another msn window open, except there is heaps of people instead of just one for that window.

Err, sorry about the title edit, it just looked like spam for several seconds ;-)
I've changed it to something a little more descriptive ;-)
