New nvidia driver: 169.09

Anyone try the new driver yet ?

The visual corruption glitch with Composite-aware applications still exists. There goes the hope that it would be a quick-fix driver problem. :rolleyes:

OpenGL 3D xscreensavers now render properly even when the showmouse plugin is active, where they were terribly jerky or completely failing to draw anything at all before.

I haven't used the driver for long enough yet to comment on other new features/fixes, but my first impression within these 10 minutes is that not much has changed.

I have it running on SuSE 10.3 , no artifacts on full screen windows now .
Have not noticed anything else that is worse or better .
Have not tried KDE4 to see if it has any ill effects in it .
Update : KDE4 seems more responsive and no artifacts as of yet in it as well .
