I'm working with two fellow students to redesign the Totem UI in a composited/cairo way, and we're looking for any crazy ideas that may be out there.

I hope you (the cf community) could help us out a bit with some ideas, I know there must be some of you out there who've got opinions on what a great fullscreen ui would be.

Not sure if you're still taking suggestions on this, but here's what I came up with.
1) It'd be nice to have an option for complete "gesture mode" when in fullscreen. What I mean is the mouse pointer is completely invisible, and moving the mouse up would play/pause, down to stop, etc.
2) Moving the mouse would make the controls zoom into view (a la Dashboard) in the middle of the screen - big, easily clickable, transparent buttons.
