Hello,
I'm guessing that you are using GNOME. It's likely that you added it to your startup apps in System -> Preferences -> Sessions; could you check there for any entry/entries that run the command "avant-window-navigator"? That could be what causes it to run at startup. If it's not there, then it's being started elsewhere. (Note: If you added it manually, then it could be under any name, since that would be set by you, the user. So it may not be recognisable by its name if you set it to something other than "Avant", "AWN", etc.)
Additionally, it would be helpful in future if you could tell us exactly what actions you already took to try and solve the problem. It would prevent others from suggesting things which you've already tried. Also, I find it slightly alarming that you've "deleted a lot of stuff"...
If you want to uninstall it completely, then we have to know how you installed it in the first place. Which distro are you using? Did you compile it from source, or did you use a package repository to install it? If the latter is true, then you should be able to uninstall it via the same package manager.
