Hello

Have just installed Ubuntu 7.10 and installation worked perfectly. I have 3D effects with wobbling windows when choosing Extra under Visual Effects. The problem is there is NO way customize the 3D effects. There is only 3 alternatives under Visual Effects, None, Normal and Extra. There should be a fourth alternative to customize 3D effects and choosing the cube but that one is missing.

Using a Radeon 9250 card.

Running Envy and Install ATI driver I get error message Your graphic card is not supported by the legacy driver

Any suggestions on how to customize the 3D effects?

You need to install compizconfig-settings-manager. This will give you the program 'ccsm' which you can use to enable things like the cube (which are disabled by default in Ubuntu 7.10).

Hey Kodiak66,
Yes sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager
that should show up under System/Preferences as compiz config settings manager and also in terminal
ccsm
will bring it up

Hey Guys!

Thanks for the really quick response and for the information. Everything works perfectly now.

After 15 years using Windows this is the first time I am enjoying myself working with the operating system. There might be a future without Microsoft.

Thank again
