System Tray Icons Dislodge Themselves

Hello,

I run Compiz-Fusion on a Gateway laptop with FGLRX/XGL. For some reason when i turn off XGL and Compiz is no longer loaded my system tray icons move to the top left of my screen. They cannot be moved anywhere else after that.

Any ideas?
