window decorators died and wont come back!

my window decorators have gone away completely and will not start back up. ive purged all compiz and emerald packages multiple times and still the same result. compiz runs flawlessly, but both emerald --replace and kde-window-decorator --replace both result in no output, no results when they both used to work. i didnt change any config settings or anything. it was working 6 months before this just up and happened and i have no idea what to do. im on kubuntu 7.10, kde 3.5.7 and the latest version of compiz and emerald in the official repos.

Are you sure you have the window decoration plugin enabled in 'ccsm'?

same issue, i install everything following this (http://en.opensuse.org/Compiz-Fusion).

everything works like a charm from there, but when i restart, no window decorations at all.

and yes, i have it enabled.

I've moved this to general usage.
