View Full Version : Compiz Window Manager not working

whenever i try to start Compiz, the manager starts and i get the tray icon, but i have no window manager (aka no title bars), please help! i'm running on Ubuntu Edgy with AIGLX on a 2.4GhZ P4 with Nvidia Geforce4 MX420 Go graphics (32MB) running dual monitors (2 x 1024x768)

hey,
try running compiz through terminal
ie.
compiz --replace gconf & gtk-window-decorator --replace &
see what happens

When i run that command in terminal, it outputs this:
compiz.real: No GLXFBConfig for depth 32
which is odd cuz i'm anout 99.9% sure i'm running at 16 bit depth (unless it's adding the depths on each monitor as i have dual-monitors and each one is at 16 bit depth).
