plane plugin - match panel size?

I'm using the plane plugin to change "workspaces".

Is there any way to change the plane image size to match my gnome-panel? My gnome-panel height is 48 pixels, and the default plane is way too small.

Ideally, it would be great if plane matched my panel height automatically. But if I can manually change the size that's OK for now.

(I'm using a 2x2 plane configuration.)
