It is always sooo hard to find the app I'm looking for with compiz's alt+tab..
here's why:
Shift switcher does not order in order of most recently used.
ALL switchers use a rotating queue type list.. This is very hard to understand when you finally got back all the way around to the start again. Look at how Mac OS X does it. You should always keep the list static, and let the selection move among the choices because it is easier to quickly select.. Sure it doesn't look as cool. :)
And most importantly, the advanced switchers only show thumbnails of minimized apps.. C'mon.. These look so ugly it completely negates the coolness of compiz. I mean, noone cares if they are outdated thumbnails! It's a heck of a lot better than a super pixelated icon!
But I need to enable STANDARD metacity alt+tab. OR does anyone know an additional application I can install to have a more standard ALT+TAB effect where there is a static list and the SELECTION rotates?

Great job so far guys!

Hey qwertqwert
Geez! I cannot comment on most of this because I am not familiar with the way mac does anything because I have absolutely no intention of using mac nor would I ever suggest to anyone to use mac at all. Mac in my opinion is an over rated over priced set up.]
however.. you may want to read this http://planet.compiz-fusion.org/ perhaps at some point soon
most of the little irritations in compiz fusion may well disappear.
I am also not aware of any other applications for window switching.
I admit to not even trying to search them out.. so that would be what you need to do with google!

I have looked EVERYWHERE for this.. Nowhere to be found. Yah i know macs suck, but they have a good feature which compiz fusion is in need of.
