You've probably noticed that there hasn't been a lot of attention paid to our site the last few months. I can assure you that it's not because of lack of interest or effort. We started with nothing but the compiz code and it's taken us a while to figure out our direction and identity. We've finally worked these things out and you may be a bit surprised by our plans. You should be seeing lots of changes real soon.
For those of you who are new to the project, let me tell you a little about where we are now and how we got here. Compiz was first released by David Reveman a year ago, but our community is only 4 months old. Most of our early members came from the Compiz-Quinn community which had recently become Beryl. We started out with a forum and a wiki. We divided up the responsibilities and quickly built a functional site. We then learned that there was a big difference between a functional site and a functional project and community.
