Just today, I was working and went to switch workspaces with the middle mouse button and *gasp* nothing happened. I looked at the ccsm settings and everything had been set back to default values. OK I can deal with that. But when I went back to change my settings, but when I closed it, again, nothing had changed. I looked at ccsm and the default settings had been put in again.
I know it sounds kind of stupid, but could somebody help me out with this? It makes compiz fusion almost unusable for me...

Hey fuzymonkey,
Couple things;
First ..how are you starting compiz fusion?/ The most appropriate way would be compiz --replace ccp &
that command allows the ccp plugin to be enabled which allows compiz fusion to save settings
Also Just above the close button in ccsm is preferences...in preferences check to see if you are using the flat file backend if not change it to that.

sorry bout this... like all the problems I seem to get with compiz fusion, they randomly solve themselves in a few hours without me doing anything... I need to stop doing this or else people will think I'm crying wolf... Thanks for your help anyway...
