Hi,

I was just typing something into another window, and an application that I just opened popped up. All typing events suddenly went into the new window. Is there any way to not steal focus from the window the pointer is currently on (regarding window matches too :))

ccsm -> general settings -> Focus and raise behaviour

unclick auto-raise

or put the appropiate window type into the focus prevention windows box...

(surely you already knew about that ?? :D, that's an issue from beryl days :D) (I think)

Yeah, but then it focus prevents every time. I just want it to make sure that it doesn't go ahead and steal focus from the window I am working with.

Then again, I could just put *culprit* apps in the focus-stealing-protection match. That wouldbe firefox, yast, pidgin etc.

YaST is a terrible one actually. No seriously, it spawns a million popup dialogs every time you try to install software telling you that it is downloading X translation for Y repository. I know I can turn refresh off, but if I do, updates go out of sync and everything goes awry....
