I watched a video of youtube on this, is it a operating system that you can DL for free? or is it just like a bunch of plugins and stuff to change around the XP/Vista Theme?

Yes, the free operating system is called "Linux" and it has been around since like 1991 or 1992. It doesn't run on Windows. You have to take the plunge and go non-Microsoft in order to enjoy its delicacy! ;) Linux offers everything that your average user wants and more. Popular distributions of Linux for newbies are http://www.ubuntu.com/ and maybe http://www.mandriva.com . I know from personal experience that Mandriva offers Compiz fusion on their Live CD, so you can try it without affecting your current Windoze setup. I personally use Fedora, but there are tons and tons of different Linux distros to try.

Correction: compiz fusion does not run on only Linux distributions. It definitely runs on FreeBSD and has beenr reported to work on Solaris as well :-)

But you guys forgot something. You can play Windows games on Linux with a emulator called Winex/Cedega, and of course with Wine. But not all games work. So if you're a hardcore gamer, Linux is not for you.
