View Full Version : KDE or GTK Window Decorator - Large delay before GTK apps maximize

Here's the issue I'm experiencing.

With the GTK or KDE window decorator, maximizing any GTK-based windows, there is a noticable (Approx. 1 second) delay from when I release the mouse button to when the window actually maximizes.

Anyone else experience this?

I'm on Ubuntu Gutsy, running git HEAD (Master? It's the latest as of this afternoon - 11/02/07) and I've got an nVidia 8400 GS w/ the latest beta driver (.23 I think)

I experience this bug too.

One important thing about that:
it is compiz who hurts gtk windows (or gtk code hurts itself by using a broken workaround when created under compiz) because windows created while metacity was running maximize and resize smoothly under both compiz and metacity and windows created under compiz(gtk or emerald, doesn't matter, or even with all plugins disabled) are slow under both metacity and compiz.

Debian sid amd64/core2duo/nvidia 100.14.19/nvidia quadro fx 570m/gnome 2.20/compiz-fusion git (shame0 repo).
