This 1 really has me scratching my head ... I am using Compiz on Gutsy with an Intel 945 gfx chip. I am having the all too common tearing while scrolling, but I recently discovered that if I enable the rain effect, it scrolls perfectly smoothly!? I don't really unserstand why that would happen, it seems to me that it should be the exact opposite. So here I sit posting on a forum while rain falls on my desktop .... any ideas??
