compiz issue

Hi guys, i have the following issue. I log on my system and then exec compiz-start in a shell. The plugins are loaded but I can't use any application on my desktop (I can open gnome menu for istance) . What could I check to fix?

Hi, blackbelt. I think I don't really understand your problem - you can enter/access gnome-menu but you can't use your desktop icons? Or do you mean that nothing reacts to clicks/keypress? What version of compiz do you use (and where does "compiz-start" come from)?

Sorry, a lot of questions and no answer ... but it's hard to say anything without more info.

Hi RYX, the problem is that nothing reacts to click/keypres. The compiz version is 0.3.6.. I installed it by portage.

after recompile I haven't issue with key pressing...
Now I have the following issue

compiz: pixmap 0x2e000f7 can't be bound to texture
compiz: Couldn't bind redirected window 0x1604b23 to texture


how can I fix?
