Hi,
I was able to have compiz-fusion running on Fedora 7 with ATI Mobility Radeon X1400.

I'm slowly exploring all the options, and I focused on the cube first. It seems that I'm unable to have a "real" 3D cube. I mean: I would like to have a background image on top of which a cube rotate in "real" 3D (ie. see 6 faces) as I saw in various screenshots, while I can only rotate the cube on left and right (i see 4 faces) and I'm unable to zoom it out and see the background image.

Do you know where I have to set this?

Thank you!

Try adjusting the ccsm->Rotate Cube->Zoom setting to something other than 0. If you're using the Cube Reflection plugin, you should also try enabling the ccsm->Cube Reflection->Auto zoom option.

And I think Moses' answer was correct. Ubuntu defaults to having only two viewports, so there's no "cube" to rotate, only a flat sheet with 2 sides.

For getting a zoomed out cube when switching between workspaces/viewports. The above won't work for unfolding (CRTL+ALT+Down)

Thank you, I was actually trying to do it by using only keyboard, but you need to use a mouse to have a 3d effect.
