:confused:I have been having a little trouble get compiz & fusion etc working up until now.

It works just fine for everybody on this computer except in my account. I have been trying all sorts of commands to try to get it to work so I don't really know where I am now.

What I really want to know is how can I set my own account to work like the others on this machine? (I've typed in something that makes this account work differently to the others who have never made any configuration settings) How can I get it like new again (without setting it up from start)?

If you can help I'd be most grateful.;)

I'm using opensuse10.3 KDE with compiz 0.6.2 & fusion 0.6.0

Specifically which error messages have you been receiving when you try to start Compiz and its components? How are you starting Compiz, and what do you see when you try starting it from a console?

With regard to giving yourself a clean start, you can delete the whole ~/.compiz directory along with ~/.emerald, ~/.compizconfig, and ~/.config/compiz. That should allow you to start over with Compiz, but if something else is causing the problem, I'll need to know more about the specific errors you're receiving when trying to start Compiz.

Thanks Deciare

I've given myself the clean start option. (cleared out a bit of junk I've accumulated over the years as well)

Previously I was not getting any message but I would simply start but without compiz just the normal KDE with no cube, etc. so there was no error to report. Now its just a matter of copying bookmarks, addresses, and so on and on.
