Some things don't work

This question has probably been asked many times, so please excuse me for that. Anyway, my problem is that some things that I used to be able to do in Beryl, I can't do in CF. Like minimizing and closing animations and such. Also I can't get the cube effect at all. At the moment I'm running it on a pre release of Gusty Gibbon. I don't know if that has something to do with it. Maybe any rate maybe when it is officially released it might work the way I want, but any help now would be great.

try installing the ccsm (sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager) and use that to change the settings to your likings

P.s. to get the cube back you'll also have to change the number of horizontal virtual size to 4 (instead of the default 2) in ccsm -> General Options -> Desktop size (and enable the desktop cube and rotate plugins of course :D)
