Hi.
I'd like to know how I can have the focused window come into the foreground when I focus it. I like how configurable Compiz is, but I can't find the setting for this in the massive amount of configurable settings in the Advanced Desktop Effects Settings menu.
Thanks.

Ah, it seems that I can do that by clicking on the title bar of the window I want in the foreground.
I could learn to live with that, but is there any way to change it so that clicking anywhere in a window could bring the window to the foreground?

General Options > Focus & Raise > Raise On Click. If that doesn't work, try going to Preferences and disabling integration to the desktop environment, then changing the setting again.

WOW! Thanks for the "Preferences" tip, I was going crazy because the checkboxes would blank themselves for no reason!
I knew which checkbox to mess with but it wouldn't stay set! Thank you crdlb!

How did you figure this out?

You can try disabling the ccsm->General Options->Focus & Raise Behaviour->Raise On Click option, then switching to the Key bindings tab and setting a mouse shortcut for Raise Window. If you use an older version of ccsm, the Raise Window shortcut can be found under the Actions tab.
