Beryl's 3d, snow and inputzoom plugins are much better and stabler.
Mikedee, please update them.

Snow was updated a few days ago, 3d will not be updated for a few weeks, I have just updated inputzoom again but I think it is exactly the same as before.

And what about animation plugin? The version in compiz-extra is VERY old.
There are two main problems:
* It's not possible to use magiclamps with less than 3 waves.
* Fade gets in the way all the time and that looks ugly.

We desperately need a repository to host them. This way packages and gentoo ebuilds can be generated from repo-sources and always be at the latest version.

I am not sure what is happening with freedesktop git repos but unless we host them somewhere there will always be problems even more serious ones regarding versioning and code quality

I propose to put the plugins somewhere now. If the git at freedesktop is not ready then lets put them elsewhere temporarily. Is mikedee willing to go on with it or he has another proposition ?? He has hosted them on his site long enough so i believe that he deserves to have the last word on the matter but i think that we must move forward now.

We can not rely on gandalfn's packages because they are afterall dependend on ubuntu.Gentoo and other distros might want to use more updated sources...

Also the plugins on compiz extra DO NOT COMPILE with compiz from git since today, so we need something here ...

Sorry guys, I am supposed to be sorting out the git repository, I have to pull out all of the plugins and check each one before it goes in and Im a bit behind ;)

He releases a tarball too... :)

I could do with the original build files to check into git in possibly a seperate repository, opefully then I can host the individual plugins and when each one is ready it can be moved to the extra git branch and anyone could make a new version of the tarball. I think all the plugins are fairly stable and can be included, I think I will remove miniwin and dock soon though.

Can you update inputzoom again?

What? When we are so close to having full input redirection?

I think its not working on the latest compiz svn so maybe Ill do another copy for 0.3.6 but expect to see this one disappear soon ;)

Mikedee, can you update animation (new fadefocus effct) and inputzoom (better timestep behaviour) plugins?
