Howdy all,

I've got a hankering to sit down and make myself a total UI. Part of this is going to be sitting down and getting up to date with all the plugins and find a way for it all to work in the way *I* want it to function, but a big part of it is going to be creating my own theme/s. However, search as I might, I've found documentation to be fairly lacking there.

Does anyone know of any howto's or decent guides to theme creation? I'm not just looking at hacking at someone else's with replacement graphics, I'm really looking at learning and implementing something significant.

Any pointers would be more than welcome, and of course, all work I do will be released on my site and the usual places.

Regards,

W

I assume you're talking about emerald window borders :D

Just go into emerald-theme-manager and choose the "edit themes" tab

from there you can first choose the emerald engine you want to use, these provide different features you can customise for your window border (hard to explain, just play around with them and you'll get a basic idea)

Once you choose the engine you want, then it's just a case of going through the options and customising to your hearts content....

If you're more advanced, you could create you're own engine to get any specific shapes or such for your window border, but for most cases the current engines suffice.....

if you have any more questions feel free to ask :D

If I was looking to create my own engine (not that I have anything planned at the moment) is there any documentation that I can find that would tell me how to do so?
