Private message inbox not imported

Ahh, a working forum at last! How grand! I've been missing the forums even though I haven't been posting very much recently. ^^;

Anyway, congratulations on the import. ^_^ A lot of what I see appears to be working well. I have noticed an issue with private messages, though, at least on my account. All of the messages in my Sent Messages folder were imported correctly (albeit, strangely, marked "unread"). None of the messages from my Inbox folder survived the import, though.

You have 53 messages stored, of a total 50 allowed

and I've only got 35 in sent folder and 0 in inbox.....

I had 15 unread messages, 32 total, but as with delfick, I only saw 15 messages in my Sent Items folder and none elsewhere. Oddly, even after I marked the messages in my Sent Items folder as read, I still have 15 unread messages even though they're no longer highlighted as unread on the message list itself.

I have two messages in my inbox which i just received this evening and it says i have 49. I have cleaned out my sent folder so that i can send a private message. Otherwise with one sent message in the folder it says i have 50 and can not send any. This is happening after i deleted my inbox contents which was like 4-5 pm's and about 35 in the sent folder and the forum said i had 85 and had to clean out some to send one.

I'm unsure as to why there are so many issues with the Private Messaging system imports, however, I'll go ahead and bump the number of allowed PMs anyway.

I have discovered that I am able to access the messages from my Inbox folder on oc.o by creating a custom folder (http://forum.compiz-fusion.org/private.php?do=editfolders) called Outbox.

All messages from my Inbox on oc.o were moved into cf.org's non-existent-by-default Outbox! By marking those read and/or deleting them, I can make the message count at the top-right corner correct again. ^_^

Hello all!
Well I know that my private messages have not been imported at all and the one message I wanted is from a user who made the winning logo and i cant find him on the forums at all unless, like myself, his name was changed to "imported_graphreak" my name was changed to "imported_coz" ???<<<< what is with that?
Please get my name back to just coz ... :)

Have you tried the Outbox trick I described above? Have you checked both the coz and imported_coz accounts' inboxes in case private messages were imported into one account but not the other?

Also, do you think your request for a name change might belong more in another thread? Perhaps start a new thread where users who wish to have their names corrected can let the admins know.

I think the imported_ prefix may be an artefact of the same username having had an account on both compiz.org and opencompositing.org, and having made at least one post with both accounts. I guess... You might wish to think about which account you'd rather keep. ^^;
