this image inspired me:

did a quick search and couldn't find anything so i assume that it is a mockup.
obviously should be configurable (just like the aspect ratio setting), but i think that it looks awesome.

Very interesting idea.... It would look kinda weird when there's more than 4 horizontal workspaces... still interesting though.. I kinda like it the more I look on it. I wonder what the devs think about this

Not necessarily. I've seen something like a picture wall cylinder thingy application. I can't currently figure out what it was called, but it looked cool. Maybe something like this would be nice as super mode to curved Expo, if you're the sort of person that needs five hundred desktops.
Kind of like this:

I had a similar idea that's probably been thought of before, something like this:

You could imagine how this shape could replace the cube view, in that you view the desktops from the outside of the cylinder, or from inside the cylinder (with the desktops facing the camera appropriately) :)

This looks seriously cool. It would be great if this could just be added to the expo behaviour tab. A slider should be used to control the degree of curvature.

I suppose this could be also added to the cube unfold option , that'd be nice too..
