I'm running Kubuntu Feisty and using the latest Compiz Fusion packages for Ubuntu by Treviņo. This is on two computers, the first one with ATI graphics card and the open source radeon driver, the second one with nvidia graphics card with the proprietary nvidia driver.

Things seem to be running just fine otherwise, but I can't seem to be able to use kde-window-decorator. Every time I try to start it, it crashes, and this is what the KDE Crash Handler says:

Emerald works fine so I'm using it for now, but I'd really prefer kde-window-decorator. Does anyone have any clue what could be wrong here? Is anyone else able to use kde-window-decorator on (K)ubuntu Feisty?

I'm able to use kwd on three different feisty machines with KDE installed. I do build beryl myself, however (last built from git last night).

Using: Feisty, on an AMD dual core 64bit, with an NVidia 7300GS. Proprietary driver. [url:05a6c]http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=481314[/url:05a6c] is what I used to it set up.
I'm having the same problem. KWD constantly crashes.
