In it, I am going to have demonstrations and howtos (like my other videos) only, this will be a weekly thing, and more organized. Also, thanks to Jupiter1tx, I am going to use xvidcap instead of a camcorder, and thanks to Trevinho for suggesting it, I am going to use kdenlive, a great video editor (if unstable).

Enjoy!

PS: first episode should be out Saturday night!

Very Interesting initiative :)
I'll sure add your blog at my feeds reader.

I just prefer recordMyDesktop because xvidcap is too heavy for my PC, besides of [url=http://forums.opencompositing.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=960&hilit=:22cb3]some problems[/url:22cb3] I had.. It is very lightweight.

For small edits I have used Avidemux and mencoder, I didn't knew kdenlive, I going to try it..

The result is this:

I'm using xvidcap in terminal, and it's the lightest I've ever experienced in linux screen capture. Command I use (thanks jupiteritx):

xvidcap --file filename.mpeg --fps 15 --cap_geometry 1680x1050+0+0 --rescale 25 --time 200.0 --start_no 0 --continue yes --gui no --auto

that's a 200-second long file fullscreen, recording to mpeg.

I also tried in terminal, but it still "shocks" my cpu. I'm using recordMyDesktop in terminal too..

AMD Athlon 64 3500+
512 Ram
GeForce 7300 GT

It's in gitweb, but it's broken currently. I'm hoping someone fixes it eventually.
