A few small gripes about the application switcher, which is the weakest out of an OBSCENELY powerful set of tools that Compiz-Fusion's providing so far :3

1. In MacOS and Windows, whenever someone went through a list of programs currently, the icons for those progs were usualy the most porminent visual detail, with a thumbnail or title usually coming in after that. After using Beryl for a while, it's dawned upon me as to why : Because applications look really damn similar at thumbnail size. Most of them are just a lite background with dark text, with most of the few exceptions simply being vice-verse.

While scale allows you to use a "large" icon in the middle of the window thumbnail, the switcher only lets you pick a corner, which is kind of weak in comparison. I'm not sure if it's standard in Gnome or KDE for apps to have a large (256x256? 512x512? SVG?) icon for such a purpose, but I did notice that alt+tab'ing in OSX shows massive icons as I scroll thought, and I'm much more likely to instantly switch between apps than I can manage in Compiz's switcher. The ability to have a large, slightly transparent, overlay icon on the windows would help substancially there. Also, (and I'm asking at their forums too) anyone know why the Opera browser's icon doesn't show up in either scale or the switcher? Is there anything I can do to fix that?

2. The "dynamic" window limiter, showing at most, 3 or 5 windows while I'm switching, is also a smidgen agrivating. It looks cool but sometimes I want some control over how many windows I can see at once, even at the cost of switching from the cool scroller to a 1998-era grid.

3. Is it possible to add an option to only show applications in the current cube side on the switcher? It'd help a lot with keeping focused on the side I'm on. Plus it's annoying to have that thing constantly rotating because I accidentally switched to an app on another side. ^_^

Once again, thanks for this awesome compositor =3 I'm aware it's in beta (alpha? pre-alpha?) right now but it's working great and it'd be awesome if options came up to help with those issues. ^_^
