Coputer locks up when closing compiz fusion

Background info:
I have a gentoo system running the latest compiz fusion from git. I have a nvidia card and am using nvidia to render with the indirect rendering option to fix the black windows bug. I am using fusion-icon to start and control fusion.

Problem:
Whenever I try to logout or restart/shutdown my computer the whole system freezes including virtual shells (ctrl+alt+F1) etc. I cant do anything besides press the reset button. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it???

i found out what is causing the lock up it is the indirect rendering but if i disable this i get black windows i think that this is a bug.
