After what happened with our infamous name poll, it's ironic to see the public being invited to propose names for the future. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j239/Deciare/emoticons/icon_xd.gif

The chip does sound interesting. The greatest challenge to making use of multi-core CPUs today is figuring out which tasks should go to which core; a single-threaded or improperly multi-threaded application would receive very little improvement from a multi-core processor. The new chip professes to make its own decision about how to divide up the tasks, so that should no longer be a limitation. :D

Heh, good observation. I do think parallel computing is the wave of the future
in desktop pc's. And they are talking 100 times faster than today's pc's. I really
believe that we can do anything we have ever wanted to do "voice command,
video editing, etc..." efficiently with 10 times the existing power. Plus we will
get the reduction of heat/power and size. This should also enable the ability
to make a true palm size full multimedia device. Anyway, future is looking
bright for the George Jetson world i have dreamed about since i was a kid.
