I'm desperately trying to install Compiz Fusion on my desktop computer (feisty x64).
However, I get this error when I'm trying to install compiz:
[code:a78d6]
alliacea@alliacea-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install compiz

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
compiz: Depends: compiz-decorator but it is not installable
E: Broken packages

My repository in ok and I've followed this guide [url:a78d6]http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=481314[/url:a78d6]
Does anyone have a solution?

Unfortunately Trevinho's repo does not contain up-to-date amd64 packages. You'll either need to compile from source, or wait for someone to make a 64bit repo.

Are there any instructions for compiling Compiz Fusion from source?

Can't Treviño’s scripts be used for building for Feisty x86-64? Most of even Intel's mainstream processors are 64bit nowadays. There's a lot of FUD concerning the architecture, but in fact practically everything works in Feisty64. Including Wine, Flash, Java... and excluding Compiz Fusion debs.

Oh... I forgot.
I've succeeded in installing Compiz Fusion using makefusion script (found somewhere in this forum).
Now it works fine.

I meant AMD processors have been x86-64 for 3-4 years, but for a year lots of Intel ones have been too.

The makefusion script is an enhancement of Kristian's script[/url:6966d] by franzrogar[/url:6966d] - you can find it here: http://franzrogar.googlepages.com/makefusion
I haven't tried it myself, though. Don't know how/if it works.

After you install fusion on your computer just follow the running instructions on this page [url:29aab]http://forums.opencompositing.org/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=758[/url:29aab]
I use [code:29aab]LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/fglrx/libGL.so.1.2.xlibmesa compiz --replace --sm-disable ccp &[/code:29aab] to run fusion.
But because there are no window borders (my case) you have to run [code:29aab]emerald --replace &[/code:29aab] - that fixes the borders.
In my case that worked ;).
If it works for you too than just save this two commands in a file and run it every time computer starts.
