What I need:
I need people to test my plug-ins. This specific plug-in will fix Wine and legacy applications when they go fullscreen. I need people that had the old OpenOffice.org bug with the old Beryl to also test this plug-in to make sure I don't reintroduce said bug. People with multi-head displays are also encouraged to test.

Please post any and all results here. I will do my best to fix any potential errors and bugs in my code.

Thank you.

Here is the gitweb repo:

Cool, we're already getting some 3rd party plugins! I'll be glad to test it, but not right now. My school's internet connection is 4kb/s, and I'm in the middle of taking my finals (it'll be done by friday).

Thanks to both of you for offering to test it, even though neither of you can do it quite yet.

Most likely it can be fixed. :) It would help me quite a lot if I could reproduce the problem, so more detailed information on the problem or how I can also have the same problem would be appreciated.

now it works ok on fullscreen, but (does there allways need to be some but?) if i run Impress with this plugin, OOo takes the whole pulpit, and it should not take the whole pulpit but only if i run slide show with F5 button and one more thing i have noticed, that if i run mplayer with this plugin than i'm not able to run mplayer in fullscreen

Hello.

I've found a problem and it could come from this plugin. When I start my computer and pull up or down the sound the OSD sound level appears with the normal open/close animation effect. If I activate and deactivate workarounds plugin, and then try again with the OSD, it appears as it should, with the animation for popup/notification etc.. if I restart Compiz Fusion the problem does not come again.

Hope to be at the good place for this issue, and to be quite understandable (I'm french).

[edit]This issue has disappeared with last updates, don't know when as I reboot once a week.

Hi, just my two cents:

If I have "QT Window Fix" activated (as it is by default) mplayer gui (gmplayer) shows up without window decorations.

Maybe this flag should not be set on by default ? (at least it was in my installation)

Also if I activate the "fix fullscreen legacy applications" I can't come back from fullscreen in mplayer.

Of course all these are not a big deal, just to let you know...

Thanks a lot!

EDIT: Seems that aMsn has the same "window decoration" issues... http://forum.compiz-fusion.org/showthread.php?t=1238

i can''t see the legacy fullscreen issue with mplayer being fixed, restoring a window from fullscreen makes the desktop (KDE) black and flickering. I'm using a git copy here. I don't know what this is supposed to fix anyway, haha, no applications that didn't fullscreen properly before on compis does it with this fix enabled :D

Err, I meant the missing decoration problem with "Qt menu fix" checked is fixed - Quote fixed ;)
