Hi
I'm looking for wiki/howto installing compcomm on KDE. Does compcomm need so many gnome deps as compiz had to? Now I'm using beryl and everything is simple - a few packages no gnome deps and easy configuration with beryl-manager -> is it possible to have this with compcomm? Any hints and tips? I want to switch to compcomm because of stability that I hope is better than beryl. Thanks for helping.

You should be able to install compcomm on KDE without Gnome dependency unless you use
Gconf to manage it. There is a now a kde-backend. We don't have a wiki/howto yet for Arch.
As far as stability, well this project is younger than Beryl and you may run into instability with
any given update. You can check here for Arch repo and get install advice.

I believe the packages you will want to install are.
compiz bcop ccs-lib emerald compcomm-plugins-main compcomm-plugins-extra compcomm-plugins-unsupported ccs-backend-kconfig ccs-python emerald-themes ccsm compcomm

There is no release date yet or even an estimate.
