Hi everyone
today i installed compiz on my ubuntu edgy laptop, it has an ati card and it worked wonderfully..
then i had to bad idea of upgrading to the dev version of compiz (tru gandalf repos)
now what i get is this
http://img50.imageshack.us/img50/251/schermatafn4.png
every time i minimize a window..
i tried to go back to stable compiz, by purging all and installing the stable package releases, but still the problem persist..
is there any fix for it?
seems that gconf still keeps the settings for the additional plugin of the unstable version..
Thanks

I think this is an old problem related to the fade speed and minimize. It looks the same anyway...

Try disabling fade and see if it works, if it still does and you want fade then turn the fade speed down (or up, I cannot remember)

You can delete the gconf schemas if you like, but there is nothing to worry about having them there.

i deleted gconf schemas and everything works fine now!
i think the problem was just there :D
anyway, even with the dev compiz, i was unable to make the animation work..

Try installing compiz-freedesktop-0.3.4 and compiz-freedesktop-extra-0.3.4 and then delete anything in ~/.compiz/plugins/ then let me know if you are still having problems with animation and what the problems are, its probably something simple.
