When emerging compcomm it gets as far as beryl-premerge and gives this error:

[code:830ae]
Initialized empty Git repository in /usr/portage/distfiles/git-src/beryl-premerge/
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly
fetch-pack from 'git://anongit.opencompositing.org/compcomm/plugins/beryl-premerge' failed.
[/code:830ae]

This is the first time I've installed compcomm and all the other packages have installed fine, I'm pretty sure that most of those came from the same git repository. Also, I made sure that layman was updated.

Any help is much appreciated, Nick.

Yes that package is inactive. A new one will probably be online by tomorrow,
or late tonight. But then us Gentoo users will have to wait for a ebuild... LOL
You can look here and see the git repo to check on updates.

The new packs are
plugins-extra
plugins-main
plugins-unsupported
plugins-wip

or you can select just the plugins you need in the GIT ^_^

... So we need a lot of ebuilds
