[BERYL] Beryl no funciona con Feisty!!!"[OK]

Hola, hace pocos dias actulice mi Ubuntu de Edgy a Feisty, y resulta que luego de hacer toda la instalacion nuevamente de Beryl, no consigo que este funcione, mi tarjeta de video, Una ATI Radeon X300 esta bien instalada, al igual que el beryl, Sin embargo cuando intento seleccionar a Beryl como gestor de ventanas no me deja.

Tengo un apregunta ¿Que drivers usas? Creo que con los libres no te va a funcionar. Un usuario pudo poner beryl con aiglx con una x200 (que es muy similar) pero con los drivers propietarios. Igualmente es posible necesites hacer una sesion XGL. Por las dudas te dejo estos link para que pruebes.

PD 1: esto no debe ser asi, pero por las dudas te cuento. Tal vez hiciste alguna modificacion en el xorg cuando usabas edgy y al actualizar a feisty quedaron algunas modificaciones. Por las dudas revisa eso.

Estoy usando los drivers de ATI, pero en todo caso he probado con ambos y nada...

Ahora, te cuento el xorg.conf lo he tocado tanto!!!! le he hecho de todo, todas las sugerencias de la red las he hecho y nada!

Incluyendo todo lo que esta en el link que me enviaste, el AIXGL, porque el otro link no me sirve.


No se que podra ser estoy a punto de regresarma el Edgy, donde todo era perfecto.

Proba desinstalar beryl con la opcion purge y despues instala beryl. Seria algo asi:

Otra opcion seria intalar feisty de forma limpia :( .

Ademas Chema, he seguido ya paso a paso tu guia de instalacion, y te cuento: cuando inicio la sesion con Gnome-Xgl, me aparece el diamante de beryl ahi, pero cuando intento seleccionar a Beryl como gestor de ventanas, todo me empieza a parpadear, los paneles e iconos aparecen y desaparecen y se congela la pantalla....

Las cosas marchan mucho mejor, ya tengo beryl, (tengo el efecto cubo) sin embargo.... intente ponerle una cupula del cielo y lo estropie todo de nuevo :oops: , y ahora cuando escojo a Beryl como gestor de ventanas me brinca la pantalla descontroladamente y me desaparecen los marcos de las ventans!!! Probe desactivando el skydomes pero el brincoteo sigue...

Pero aun asi con brincoteo y todo soy feliz!

Los skydomes deben tener ciertas dimensiones que sean potencias de 2 y si están en formate png mucho mejor.

Mirate este blog para descargarte skydomes http://skydomes.blogspot.com/ y prueba alguno de ellos, si no se arregla tendremos que seguir buscando una solución ;)

Chema... tengo deasactivado el skydomes, sin embargo lo intente con ese archivo e igual, el papadeo sigue sin parar y los bordes siguen sin aparecerer ademas.... una cosita mas, las pantallas como que se ponen borrosas a ratos, como que existe un pequeño zum que va y viene antes de congelarme la pantalla...
